5 Add remaining milk and 2 unbeaten eggs; again beat 200 strokes (2 minutes). Scrape down bowl and spoon often while mixing.

6 Pour the smooth batter evenly into 2 deep 8-inch round layer pans which have been rubbed with Spry Pan-coat (see page 20).

7 Let cakes cool in pans on wire cake racks 5-10 minutes. Loosen cakes from pan with spatula, turn out on racks, and finish cooling.

8 A cake of proud perfection! Light, tender layers, soft and fine -swirls of creamy fudge frosting (recipes on pages 18, 26 ).
